Automotive Technician

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established automotive dealership with the recruitment of a Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester.

Permanent, full-time position based in Ipswich.

Salary

£29,000 – £37,000, depending on experience + monthly productivity bonus + overtime + qualification payments

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester to join a well-established workshop offering manufacturer training, strong progression and a Monday-to-Friday working pattern with no weekend working.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and routine vehicle maintenance.
• Complete MOT testing in line with current standards.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Undertake mechanical and electrical repair work.
• Complete brake, steering and suspension repairs.
• Carry out timing belt, clutch and engine work.
• Complete vehicle health checks using digital reporting systems.
• Prepare approved used vehicles for sale.
• Carry out road testing where required.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.

Skills & Experience

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
