Are you an experienced payroll professional with a passion for systems optimisation? An established organisation in north Portsmouth is seeking a Payroll & Systems Manager to lead their payroll function and enhance their HR and payroll systems.

What will the Payroll & Systems Manager role involve?
Leading the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK legislation, while driving system enhancements
Acting as the expert resource for payroll queries, supporting staff and management with payroll and system-related issues
Managing and developing payroll systems, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements
Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to optimise data flow, reporting, and audit processes
Supporting system upgrades, new implementations, and ongoing system health to foster continual improvement
Suitable Candidate for the Payroll & Systems Manager vacancy:
Proven experience managing payroll operations within the UK, with a solid understanding of PAYE, NIC, pensions, and statutory payments
Strong technical expertise with payroll systems, including implementation or improvement projects
Excellent attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and problem-solving skills
Confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels
Experience supervising or supporting team members is advantageous but not essential
