HGV Class 2 Driver

HGV Class 2 Driver – 18T Curtain Side – Self-Employed ABM Express Ltd is looking for a reliable and professional Self-Employed HGV Class 2 Driver to drive an 18T curtain-side vehicle. This is an ongoing Monday to Friday contract, involving general haulage, collections and deliveries across the UK. Up to 4 nights out per week may be required depending on workload and delivery locations. Pay & Working Pattern * £180 per day * Up to £900 per week * Monday to Friday * Weekly payments * Self-employed contract * Daily rate includes nights out * Immediate start available Main Duties * Driving an 18T curtain-side vehicle safely and professionally * Completing collections and deliveries across the UK * Carrying out daily vehicle checks * Securing loads correctly * Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining PODs * Keeping in contact with the transport office regarding deliveries, delays or issues * Following Drivers’ Hours, Working Time and tachograph regulations * Reporting vehicle defects promptly * Taking reasonable care of the vehicle and equipment * Representing ABM Express professionally when dealing with customers Requirements * Full UK Category C / Class 2 licence * Minimum 2 years’ Class 2 driving experience * Valid Driver CPC * Valid Digital Tachograph Card * Good knowledge of UK roads * Curtain-side experience preferred * Good understanding of load securing * Reliable and punctual * Professional attitude with customers * Comfortable with UK-wide work * Comfortable with up to 4 nights out per week when required As this is a self-employed contract, the driver will be responsible for their own tax and National Insurance obligations.
