CNC Programmer

CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter / Operator Location: Chesterfield Pay Rate: £17.00 – £18.00 per hour Full-Time | Permanent We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established and growing engineering company. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with strong programming, setting, and operating experience on CNC lathes using Fanuc controls. The Role You will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines while ensuring components are produced to high-quality standards and tight tolerances. Key Responsibilities: Programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Working to tight tolerances and high precision standards Setting tools and understanding cutting speeds and feeds Producing programs using G Codes including Using inspection and measurement equipment including: Deburring machined components during production cycles Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment Working in line with ISO9001 quality standards Candidate Requirements Proven experience as a CNC Turner / Programmer / Setter / Operator Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good attention to detail and quality standards Positive and proactive attitude Strong communication and organisational skills Flexible approach and willingness to learn and improve What’s on Offer Competitive hourly rate of £17–£18 per hour Overtime opportunities available Stable, long-term opportunity Supportive working environment Excellent career progression prospects If you are an experienced CNC Turner looking for your next opportunity, apply today
