About the role

A four-day week. Varied projects. Work you can take pride in.

Ready to make your application Please do read through the description at least once before clicking on Apply.

If you're a skilled Vehicle Paint Sprayer or Prepper who takes pride in a quality finish, this could be worth a conversation.

We're recruiting for an established specialist vehicle manufacturer looking to strengthen its paint team. The work is varied, the standards are high, and you'll be involved in everything from preparing new vehicles for paint to repairing and refurbishing existing ones.

This isn't a job where every day looks the same. You'll be working on specialist vehicles and components, with the opportunity to put your skills to use and see the results of your work.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing surfaces for paint, including sanding, filling, masking and cleaning.

  • Applying primers, base coats and top coats to a high standard.

  • Mixing paints and matching colours to achieve the required finish.

  • Identifying and correcting imperfections before and after painting.

  • Working with a range of vehicle body materials and components.

  • Carrying out preparation, painting, repair and refurbishment work.

  • Maintaining equipment and keeping your work area clean, organised and safe.

What we're looking for

You don't need to have worked on these exact vehicles before, but you do need the practical skills and attitude to deliver a quality finish.

You'll ideally have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Vehicle spray painting or vehicle preparation.

  • Commercial vehicle, HGV, bus, coach or automotive bodywork.

  • Surface preparation, paint mixing and finishing.

  • Repairing paint defects and achieving a consistent, professional finish.

Experience with specialist vehicle bodywork or plastic and composite materials would be advantageous, but transferable skills will be considered.

More importantly, you'll take pride in your work, pay attention to detail and be someone the team can rely on.

What's in it for you?

  • A four-day working week.

  • The opportunity to work on interesting, specialist vehicle projects.

  • A varied workload covering new builds, repairs and refurbishments.

  • A close-knit team where quality and workmanship matter.

  • The chance to develop your skills and broaden your experience.

  • A temp-to-perm opportunity for someone looking for a longer-term move.

Interested?

If you're an experienced Vehicle Paint Sprayer or Prepper and you're open to a move, let's have a confidential conversation. xwzovoh
