This field-based role involves servicing, commissioning and maintaining industrial combustion and heating systems for major manufacturers across sectors including food, automotive, aerospace and textiles. Key responsibilities of the Industrial Gas Engineer * Service, commission and maintain industrial combustion and heating systems * Diagnose and resolve electrical and combustion faults * Carry out breakdown response and preventative maintenance * Work on direct and indirect fired systems, tube firing, nozzle mix and premix burners * Read and interpret electrical schematics and control circuits * Produce clear service reports and deliver excellent customer support What we’re looking for in the Industrial Gas Engineer Essential * Experience with industrial combustion and gas systems * Strong electrical fault-finding skills * Ability to read electrical and control drawings * Full UK driving licence * Professional, customer-focused approach Desirable * Installation and commissioning experience * Willingness to travel internationally * Flexibility for occasional out-of-hours support About Proctor Process Plant Founded in 1983, Proctor Process Plant is a family-owned engineering company specialising in industrial combustion and heating systems, supplying bespoke solutions to customers worldwide.
