About the role

Finance Manager – Perth (On-site) Full-time | Permanent A well-established and growing organisation within a fast-paced operational sector is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function at one of its key sites in Perth. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take ownership of financial reporting, drive performance insights, and partner closely with operational teams to support decision-making. If you enjoy being embedded in the business rather than sat in a silo of spreadsheets, this one’s for you. The Role You’ll be responsible for leading all aspects of site finance, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial control, and developing a high-performing local team. Key responsibilities include: Financial Control & Reporting * Ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met with accuracy * Production and review of management accounts, including full P&L and balance sheet reconciliations * Maintaining robust balance sheet control and audit trails * Investigating and explaining variances with clear, actionable insights Budgeting & Performance * Leading budgeting and forecasting processes at site level * Preparing weekly and monthly forecasts aligned to operational drivers * Developing KPI reporting to support performance improvement * Supporting pricing reviews and margin analysis Leadership & Team Management * Managing, mentoring and developing a small finance team * Creating a high-performance culture with clear accountability Business Partnering * Working closely with operational, commercial and transport teams * Translating financial data into meaningful insights * Supporting cost control, productivity analysis and planning * Contributing to wider site leadership and continuous improvement initiatives Systems & Controls * Overseeing transactional accuracy within ERP systems * Driving process improvements and identifying control gaps * Supporting group reporting, audits and finance projects About You You’ll be a confident and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with the wider business. Essential: * Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field * Professionally qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or actively studying * Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role * Strong background in financial reporting and balance sheet control * Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Desirable: * Experience within manufacturing, logistics, waste or similar operational environments * Experience in a multi-site or group structure * Strong ERP and reporting system experience What’s on Offer * A key leadership role within a growing, operationally focused business * Opportunity to influence decision-making and drive improvements * Collaborative and supportive working environment STEM Recruitment Solutions Ltd operates as both a Recruitment Agency and a Recruitment Business.
