Senior Mechanical Engineer Warrington £51-£56 per hour (Inside IR35) Hybrid - 3 Days On Site 12-Month Contract Are you an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer looking to play a key role on a high-profile nuclear project? We're seeking a talented engineer to join the Plant Facing Design Office (PFDO) team, supporting the development of specialist tooling and equipment used for early retrieval operations within a complex, highly regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to challenging engineering work while collaborating with industry-leading professionals. The Role Working within the PFDO team, you'll support the development of tools and equipment for retrieval operations, while providing technical support to the Principal Engineer. Typical responsibilities include: Producing mechanical design packages for manufacture and installation Developing engineering drawings, method statements and risk assessments Producing technical documentation, including NFRs and OIMs Ensuring designs comply with engineering standards and site procedures Supporting innovative engineering solutions within a nuclear environment What We're Looking For You'll ideally have: Significant experience producing mechanical design packages Strong understanding of manufacturing and installation documentation Experience preparing drawings, method statements and risk assessments Familiarity with engineering standards, procedures and best practice HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related scientific discipline Desirable Experience working within nuclear decommissioning, legacy facilities or contaminated environments Previous experience supporting complex engineering projects in highly regulated industries Clearance Candidates can start with BPSS and P1/P4 clearance, with the ability to obtain SC Clearance as required.
