Welder Fabricator

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our workshop team in Bristol.
This is a hands-on fabrication role working with sheet metal and steel sections throughout the full production process, from measuring and cutting through to folding, welding and final fitting.
You will work with a range of machinery and tools to produce high-quality components and equipment, with a strong focus on accuracy, quality and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out the full sheet metal fabrication process, including measuring, cutting, folding, welding and fitting. Fabricate steel sheet and sections ranging from
1mm to 10mm
thickness. Operate machinery including
guillotines and press brakes . Cut and fold metal to manufacture components and structures. Carry out soundproofing work on units. Strip generator components from containers and fabricate replacement parts where required. Use plasma and flame cutting techniques. Safely operate a range of hand tools and powered equipment. MIG weld sheet metal from approximately
1mm to 15mm , including sections from 3mm to 15mm. Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment. Work as part of the wider fabrication team to meet production requirements.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience within a
fabrication or general engineering environment . Strong sheet metal fabrication experience. Confident using measurements and working accurately to specifications. Good attention to detail and hand-eye coordination. Proven
MIG welding
experience. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious. CNC machinery experience would be advantageous. Experience with guillotines, press brakes, plasma or flame cutting would be beneficial.
