£Open DOE + pension, overtime paid at time ½ weekdays & Saturdays and double time on Sundays & bank holidays), 22 days holiday + bank holidays
Our client is a leading sign fabrication and installation business specialising in high-quality signage, vehicle graphics, illuminated displays, wayfinding systems and more. Their workshop is fully equipped with modern production machinery (UV flatbeds, CNC routers, laminators, 3D Printer etc.) and they pride themselves on delivering precision, innovation and excellent client service. They are expanding their production team and seek a skilled individual to join them.
They are looking for either a Production Operative / Sign Maker. The successful candidate will be hands-on, working directly on sign production tasks.
You will be expected to operate printers, plotters, vinyl cutting, laminators and related machinery, and you should have familiarity (or willingness to learn) with the full suite of equipment including Epson, Roland solvent flatbed UV, Jettrix UV, 3D Printer, CNC router, wall saw, letter bending machines, and laminators.
Key Responsibilities
Operate wide-format printers, plotters, UV flatbed printers, and other print machinery
Apply, lay and finish vinyl's (cutting, weeding, weeding, masking, weeding in situ)
Use CNC router, wall saw, letter bending machines, laminators and other workshop equipment
Prepare and set up jobs, calibrate machines, check print quality, adjust as necessary
Carry out routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs of equipment
Assist with routing and planning of jobs to meet deadlines
Monitor quality control, ensuring signs meet specifications and tolerances
Assist with material inventory management (vinyl, substrates, inks)
Maintain workshop cleanliness, safety and good housekeepingSkills & Experience:
Prior experience in sign making, digital printing, vinyl application or related field
Experience operating one or more of the following: wide format printers / UV printers / plotters / laminators / CNC / cutting machines
Strong attention to detail, ability to check for errors and ensure high craftsmanship
Good mechanical aptitude - able to troubleshoot machine issues
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and bank holidays as requiredTo apply please send a copy of your CV
