We're looking for a motivated and technically skilled eTrading Production Support Engineer to join our fast-paced Application Support team based in London. You'll be part of a global organisation, supporting cutting-edge eTrading platforms used across key financial hubs including New York, Tokyo, and Singapore.What You'll Do:Oversee the day-to-day production support for critical FX applicationsMonitor system health, perform capacity and performance management, and resolve incidents efficientlyLead change management activities, including planning, scheduling, and implementing upgradesCollaborate with developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to enhance platform performance, stability, and low-latency capabilitiesDevelop automation tools and scripts to support operational efficiencyTake ownership of specific applications and tools, becoming the subject matter expert in those areasParticipate in an on-call rota and occasional weekend work to support production deploymentsWhat We’re Looking For:Strong Python scripting skills for building tools and automationSolid understanding of Linux (Red Hat), with a focus on performance tuningBroad IT knowledge, preferably within a trading or financial services environmentHands-on experience with:Scripting: Python, Shell, SQLDevOps tools: Jenkins, Ansible, ArtifactoryMonitoring: ITRS Geneos, Zabbix, or similarNetworking: solid understanding of firewall infrastructure and multicast messagingVery keen to understand your:Familiarity with electronic trading systems (FX or other asset classes)Exposure to low-latency, high-availability trading environmentsProject delivery experience in a production or infrastructure settingWe need someone who is:Strong communicator and natural collaboratorAnalytical thinker with a hands-on approach to problem solvingOrganised, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple prioritiesSelf-starter with the drive to learn new technologies and systems quicklyAdditional Information#TalanUKSummaryType: Full-timeFunction: ConsultingExperience level: Mid-Senior LevelIndustry: Information Technology And Services
