Miller Setter Operator 📍 West Midlands 💷 Competitive Salary (DOE) 🕒 Days Shift | 7:30am - 4:15pm 🏭 Permanent Opportunity An established precision engineering company within the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Miller Setter Operator to join their growing machining team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy workshop environment producing high-quality components for a range of industrial sectors. The Role As a Miller Setter Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating milling machinery to manufacture components to precise engineering drawings and specifications. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products are produced efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. Key Responsibilities Setting and operating CNC milling machines. Producing components to engineering drawings and tolerances. Conducting first-off and in-process quality inspections. Making tool and offset adjustments where required. Ensuring machines are running efficiently and safely. Maintaining a clean and organised working environment. Working closely with the production and quality teams to meet delivery targets.Candidate Requirements Essential Skills Previous experience as a Miller Setter Operator. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling. Experience working within a precision engineering environment. Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.Desirable Skills Experience programming CNC milling machines. Knowledge of quality inspection equipment including verniers, micrometers and gauges.
