Electrical Manager - Major Government Project
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrical Manager to join an award-winning Building Services contractor on a major government project based in Cambridge.
This is a long-term opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of electrical works within a secure, high-profile environment. Working alongside an experienced project team, you'll oversee the electrical package from installation through to commissioning and handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role
As Electrical Manager, you'll be responsible for:
Managing the day-to-day delivery of the electrical package on site.
Leading site teams, subcontractors, and specialist contractors.
Coordinating works with the wider MEP and construction teams.
Ensuring projects are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations.
Monitoring Health & Safety compliance and ensuring all works are carried out safely.
Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and installation standards.
Managing inspections, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
Building strong working relationships with the client, consultants, and key stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as an Electrical Manager, Electrical Site Manager, or Electrical Project Manager within the Building Services / MEP sector.
Proven track record delivering commercial, public sector, or government electrical projects.
Strong understanding of electrical installations, commissioning, and quality assurance.
SMSTS and ECS/CSCS Card.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors while maintaining programme and quality standards.
