Traffic Operator

Amour Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a pair of Traffic Operators, to join our long standing client based in Southampton. In this fantastic career opportunity, you'll join the team as a crucial component of the transport team, Responding to reactive haulage requests, supporting drivers, and ensuring a smooth operation. This role requires heavy communication, as well as a precise attention to detail, as such you'll need to have great written and verbal communication, as well as being organised and precise. Responsibilities: * Plan and coordinate daily vehicle routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries. * Monitor driver schedules and vehicle movements, responding quickly to delays or operational issues. * Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates and maintain service levels. * Ensure compliance with transport legislation, company policies, and health & safety requirements. * Maintain accurate transport records, booking information, and operational documentation. Requirements: * Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or traffic operator role preferred. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with drivers, customers, and stakeholders. * Good IT skills, including experience using transport management systems and Microsoft Office. * Knowledge of driver hours, vehicle compliance, and transport regulations would be advantageous. We have two shifts available: * 8:30-18:00 Monday to Friday * 14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday Salary: £30,000 to £36,00 Depending on Experience If you're experience in transport operations and planning, we would love to hear from you!
