OverviewWe're looking for an experienced Solicitor to join our growing litigation team. In this role, you'll manage a complex caseload of litigated Employers' Liability (EL) and PublicLiability(PL)claimsonbehalfofourPublicSectorclients.Youwilltakeownershipofclaimsfrominceptionthroughtotrial,handlinghigh-valueandcomplexmatterswhileprovidingtechnicalguidanceandsupporttojuniorteammembers.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor with strong defendant litigation experience who is looking to further develop their technical expertise and play a key role in delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.How you'll make an impactManage a caseload of litigated EL/PL claims from issue through to trial, including complex fast and multi-track matters.Assess liability, quantum and litigation risk, providing strategic advice and reserving recommendations to clients.Draft and review legal documentation, instruct counsel and experts, and develop effective defence strategies.Negotiate settlements with claimant representatives, insurers and solicitors to achieve the best outcomes for clients.Apply the Civil Procedure Rules, relevant legislation and case law to ensure robust claims handling.Build strong client relationships, providing regular updates and a high standard of service.Act as a technical referral point, supporting and mentoring junior team members where required.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, client service level agreements, KPIs and financial procedures.Maintain accurate case management records and contribute to continuous improvement within the team.About YouQualified Solicitor with experience handling defendant EL/PL litigation matters.Strong knowledge of personal injury litigation, Civil Procedure Rules and relevant case law.Proven experience managing a litigated caseload independently, including multi-track and complex claims.Experience of working with insurer, public sector or TPA clients would be advantageous.Commercially aware with a proactive and solution-focused approach.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Eligible to work in the UK.Compensation and benefitsAt Gallagher, we believe supporting our colleagues goes far beyond the role itself. For more information, visit our Benefits page.Competitive compensationComprehensive benefits programs designed to support your well-being Career development opportunities and ongoing learning A collaborative, people-first culture with accessible leadership The opportunity to do meaningful work with global reach and local impact At Gallagher, we are dedicated to building an inclusive and authentic workplace. If your past experience doesn’t align perfectly, we encourage you to join our Talent Community to stay connected to additional career opportunities.
