Multi Trade Operative

Fraser Edwards is working with a leading social housing contractor to recruit an experienced Carpenter or Plumber Multi Trade Operatives for a long-term contract covering Coventry and Nuneaton areas
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Multi Trade Operative capabilities and experience in social housing maintenance. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of responsive repairs, planned maintenance and refurbishment works, ensuring properties are safe, well-maintained and completed to a high standard.
The successful candidate will be reliable, self-motivated and confident working independently, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and excellent customer service when interacting with residents, clients and colleagues.
The Role – Key Responsibilities
* Carpentry: Hanging doors, fitting skirting boards and architraves, and undertaking general carpentry repairs.
* Plumbing: Replacing taps, basins and toilets, identifying and locating leaks, diagnosing plumbing faults, and completing minor repairs.
* Kitchen and Bathroom Refurbishments: Carrying out repair, refurbishment and improvement works.
* Tiling Repairs: Completing minor tiling repairs in kitchens and bathrooms.
* Patch Plastering: Undertaking minor plastering repairs to achieve a smooth, professional finish.
* Snagging Works: Identifying and rectifying defects to ensure all work meets the required quality standards.
* PDA Usage: Accurately recording jobs, repairs and completed works using a PDA.
* Customer Liaison: Communicating professionally with residents, clients and colleagues to deliver a reliable, customer-focused service.
Candidate Requirements
* Full UK Driving Licence: Essential. A company van will be provided for travelling between properties and sites.
* Relevant Trade Qualification: Desirable, although practical skills and hands-on experience are highly valued.
* Minimum 3 Years' Experience: Proven experience in carpentry and multi-trade maintenance, ideally within the social housing sector.
* Strong Carpentry or Plumbing Skills: with additional skills in tiling, patch plastering and general property maintenance.
* Excellent Communication Skills: Able to liaise professionally with residents and provide a high standard of customer service.
* Reliable and Self-Motivated: Capable of managing workloads independently, working efficiently and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
