Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Location: Stevenage Setting: Secondary SEN Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Days: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday Start Date: September 2026 About the Role Class Education is currently recruiting on behalf of this Stevenage based School (SEN) for a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the chance to secure a permanent position within a supportive and inclusive school setting. The successful candidate will work closely with a pupil requiring additional support, providing tailored one-to-one assistance to help them engage with learning and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities * Deliver dedicated support to a pupils with additional learning needs * Assist in implementing personalised learning and behaviour strategies * Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and academic development * Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals * Adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs * Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have * Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting * A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach * Strong communication and teamwork skills * A proactive attitude and willingness to learn * Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential What We Offer * Opportunity to transition from a temporary to a permanent role * Supportive and welcoming school environment * Ongoing professional development and training * The chance to make a meaningful difference in a child’s education Safeguarding Class Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
