Teaching Assistant

Location: Oldbury We are seeking a supportive teaching assistant to help pupils with a range of SEND needs thrive in their learning. About the Role * Support pupils with MSI, ASD, PMLD, PD, and SLD through structured, sensory‑rich, and communication‑focused activities. * Adapt learning environments to promote sensory engagement, emotional regulation, and independence. * Assist with personal‑care routines and daily independence tasks. * Work collaboratively with teachers and therapy professionals to deliver targeted interventions. * Support pupils during therapy programmes such as speech and language, physiotherapy, or sensory circuits. * Contribute to progress tracking, classroom organisation, and IEP reviews. What We’re Looking For * Experience supporting SEND learners. * Patience, empathy, and flexibility. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Qualifications such as CACHE, NVQ, or TA Level 2/3 are advantageous. * Commitment to developing as a teaching assistant. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
