As a major supplier of specialist highway electrical services, our streetlighting teams maintain and design over 350,000 street lighting assets.

What you'll be doing



Be responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out in correct and safe manner, with M Group Safety Management System being adhered to at all times



Be committed to the companies’ policy on Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality issues.



Be responsible for ensuring that all recording of all joints, cable positions and relevant paperwork is completed accurately



Undertake jointing work in accordance with the distribution safety rules and the jointing manual



Understand responsibilities and requirements associated with the individual tasks required and shown on task instruction



Maintain health and safety in and around site for operatives and the public



Be responsible for removing any hazardous materials generated by the jointing process and keeping the site generally free from rubbish



Maintain the jointing manual with any updates or safety bullets issued by your Line Manager



Ensure that qualifications and certificates remain current and up to date



Clean and maintain all electrical test equipment and observe calibration dates



Ensure that all risk assessments are fully understood and implemented correctly to the individual tasks

What you'll bring



Have been assessed and authorised by M Group Assessing officer



Have copies of all certificates obtained



Have an understanding of Utility plans



Have first Aid training



Have Manual Handling training



Be responsible for maintaining tools and equipment



Provide leadership to support person



Hold a NERS Passport
