Research Engineer (Machine Learning / LLM) | Meta FAIR | London | Contract

Location: London, King's Cross (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Contract: 6 Months (Extension Possible)

Meta's Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) team is looking for Research Engineers to join one of the world's leading AI research organizations. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, Generative AI, and Machine Learning systems alongside world-class researchers and engineers.

What you'll be working on:

• Building AI Agents and next-generation LLM systems
• Designing and running large-scale machine learning experiments
• Developing research tools and ML infrastructure
• Writing high-quality Python code using PyTorch
• Collaborating with AI researchers to solve challenging problems at scale

We're looking for candidates with:

• Experience in Machine Learning / Deep Learning
• Strong Python and PyTorch skills
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, Generative AI, Foundation Models, or AI Agents
• Strong engineering and problem-solving skills
• A research mindset with the ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment

Experience Levels:

• Software Engineer II (IC3): 2–4 years
• Software Engineer III (IC4): 5–7 years
• Software Engineer IV (IC5): 8–10 years
