Interaction Designer

Location: Newcastle/Scotland, UK (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We’re on the hunt for an Interaction Designer to join our team! A designer in this role will be responsible for shaping intuitive, accessible and user‑centred digital services, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that every design decision is grounded in evidence and aligned with user needs. You must be confident facilitating communication between stakeholders, UCD teams and delivery groups, supporting agile ways of working, and driving a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to produce wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications.
• Strong understanding of interaction design and usability principles.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
• Experience working in agile or iterative delivery environments.
• Ability to interpret research insights and service data to inform design decisions.
• Familiarity with industry-standard design and prototyping tools.
