Main duties of the job - To provide the first point of contact for patients attending the department for their appointments and treatments, presenting a friendly and efficient image. - To ensure an effective and efficient booking service is provided within the Oncology Service. - To ensure patient work lists and work flows are booked in a timely manner. - Duties will be undertaken in a professional manner whilst maintaining a calm and caring environment. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria - • Basic numeracy and literacy qualifications • NVQ 2 in business administration or equivalent or willing to work towards Desirable criteria - • ECDL qualification or equivalent Experience Essential criteria - • NHS or Public Sector experience • Experience of working in a busy public/administration environment Knowledge Essential criteria - • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel Desirable criteria - • Training and experience of using hospital systems such as CRRS, Soliton, EPR and Mmodal Skills Essential criteria - • Able to communicate clearly, both written and verbally • Maintains a high level of accuracy • Able to prioritise and organise own workload • Able to track information Commitment to Trust Values and Behaviours Essential criteria - • Must be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust’s values.
