New Resource Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading global manufacturing business for an experienced and detail-focused MPS Planner (Master Production Schedule Planner) to join a high-performing Operations team in Bridgwater.

The Role
As MPS Planner, you will be responsible for managing the short-term production plan and customer order schedule, ensuring customer demand is aligned with available manufacturing capacity.
You will play a key role in keeping production realistic, achievable, and responsive, working closely with teams across Customer Service, Supply Chain, Production, Purchasing, Dispatch, Quality, and Engineering.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and maintaining the short-term production plan and orderbook
* Translating customer demand into achievable production schedules
* Creating and releasing production orders via ERP systems
* Monitoring capacity constraints, backlog, and overdue orders
* Communicating delivery risks, changes, and constraints clearly and promptly
* Prioritising urgent orders and managing schedule changes
* Supporting daily planning and cross-functional coordination meetings
* Maintaining accurate system data and planning documentation
Our client is looking for:
* Experience in planning, supply chain, order management, or similar operational roles
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Experience using ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred)
* High attention to detail and data accuracy
* Confident working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
* Clear communicator with the ability to manage priorities and escalate appropriately
