An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a growing business based in Bolton. This is a broad and commercially focused role offering the chance to lead a core finance function while driving process improvements, systems development, and reporting enhancements across the business.

You will lead a team across Management Accounts and Transactional Finance while partnering closely with senior stakeholders to deliver accurate financial reporting, support compliance, and improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop the finance team across Management Accounts and Transactional Finance ensuring effective day-to-day operations and team performance
Take ownership of the monthly close cycle, delivering accurate management accounts and high-quality reporting packs for senior leadership
Produce consolidated accounts and statutory reporting across several group entities in line with reporting requirements
Assist with wider group reporting obligations and support ongoing financial governance and compliance activities
Oversee cashflow management across the group, including monitoring intercompany balances and transactions
Coordinate the annual external audit process, acting as the main point of contact for auditors throughout
Ensure VAT returns and related compliance submissions are completed accurately and within deadlines across the group
Continuously review and enhance finance processes, controls, and reporting frameworks to improve efficiency and accuracy
Work collaboratively with IT and senior stakeholders to strengthen finance systems and reporting capabilities
Contribute to ERP and finance transformation initiatives, with a focus on automation and process improvement
Proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce manual processes through the use of technology and automation
About You
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
Previous experience within a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accounts role
Strong technical accounting knowledge including statutory reporting and consolidations
Experience managing month-end processes, audits, and compliance requirements
Proven experience leading and developing finance teams
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Advanced Excel and strong systems experience
Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and efficiency

About You
