This position leads a centralised finance team responsible for delivering accurate management accounts, robust financial controls and high‑quality reporting to a wide range of stakeholders.This role would suit someone who enjoys improving processes, developing people and taking ownership of getting the numbers right.The role:Lead, manage and develop a team of management accountantsOwn the timely and accurate production of monthly management accountsEnsure strong balance sheet reconciliations and disciplined financial controlsSupport budgeting, forecasting and year‑end processesReview payroll postings, client money calculations and internal submissionsBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders, maintaining a clear “no surprises” approachIdentify and drive improvements across processes, reporting and systemsWork closely with senior finance colleagues to support wider business initiativesAbout you:Qualified or nearly‑qualified accountantStrong background in management accountingProven experience managing and developing a teamConfident juggling a busy workload while maintaining quality and attention to detailA clear communicator who builds trusted relationships across the businessComfortable driving change, improving processes and strengthening team capabilityThis is a great opportunity for a hands‑on finance leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, service‑driven environment and wants to make a genuine impact through strong leadership and high‑quality financial delivery.You will be based in mid Essex.
