Warehouse & Logistics Shift Team Leader
Location: Leicester
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: 6am-3.30pm & 8am-6pm
We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established and successful organisation for an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Shift Team Leader to join their operations team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, hands-on warehouse professional who enjoys leading a team and driving high standards across warehouse and logistics operations.
The RoleReporting to the Group Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and management of the Warehouse & Logistics team, ensuring operations are completed safely, accurately, efficiently and within required timescales.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading, supervising and supporting Warehouse & Logistics operatives.
Managing daily work plans, resource requirements and warehouse start-up procedures.
Organising and overseeing daily picking activities.
Monitoring the accuracy and organisation of outbound picks and customer orders.
Supervising picking, checking, packing, loading and despatch processes.
Ensuring customer service standards are consistently maintained.
Monitoring stock control processes, including goods-in, put-away, replenishment, stock relocation, picking, despatch and returns.
Investigating customer complaints and identifying root causes to prevent recurrence.
Supporting the recruitment, training, development, engagement and performance management of team members.
Monitoring warehouse performance, picking accuracy and operational reporting.
Supporting continuous improvement across warehouse and logistics processes.About YouWe are looking for someone with proven experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment, ideally with previous experience supervising or leading a team.
You will be:
A confident and effective team leader.
Highly organised with strong planning skills.
Focused on accuracy, efficiency and customer service.
Comfortable managing workload and resources in a fast-paced environment.
Experienced in warehouse processes including picking, checking, stock control and despatch.
A strong communicator who can motivate and develop a team.
Safety-conscious with a good understanding of warehouse health & safety.
Proactive, reliable and willing to get involved operationally.
