Production Planner Salary - £28,000 - £30,000 We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised professional with strong analytical skills and manufacturing planning experience to play a key role in ensuring products are delivered on time, in full, and in the most cost-effective way. Working closely with Production, Supply Chain, and Operations teams, you will be responsible for developing accurate production schedules, improving planning processes, and supporting operational efficiency across the business. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain accurate production schedules aligned to customer demand and operational capacity. Monitor finished goods inventory to ensure high product availability while minimising excess stock. Support improvements to ERP/MRP systems and production planning processes. Prepare and issue clear and accurate job cards to Production Supervisors. Identify and help manage slow-moving or obsolete stock. Provide timely planning data and operational insights to support business decisions. Respond effectively to changes in demand, production challenges, or supply issues. Support the Production Planning Manager in identifying potential supply risks and implementing mitigation plans. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and wider business objectives through effective planning practices.What You'll Deliver Accurate and timely production plans that align with forecasts and manufacturing capacity. Improved product availability with reduced stock shortages and excess inventory. Strong communication and collaboration across Production, Supply Chain, and Operations. Ongoing improvements in planning systems, tools, and processes. Proactive management of inventory risks and slow-moving stock. Valuable operational insights that support overall business performance.Skills & Experience Previous experience in a Production Planner, Scheduler, or similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and production planning processes. Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with data. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach. High attention to detail and accuracy
