Interim Management Accountant

Interim Management Accountant Location: Leicester Contract: 6-12 months Day Rate: £250 - £300 per day DOE Working Pattern: Hybrid Hamilton Woods Associates are currently supporting a leading manufacturing business in Leicester with the appointment of an Interim Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join an established finance function and take ownership of key month-end, management accounting and manufacturing finance activities from day one. The Role Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a hands-on role across month-end, management reporting and financial analysis, working closely with operational teams to provide accurate and meaningful financial information. Key responsibilities will include: Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting month-end close. Producing and analysing P&L and balance sheet reporting. Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances. Analysing manufacturing costs, stock and production variances. Monitoring key financial and operational KPIs. Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. Providing detailed variance analysis and financial commentary. Supporting accurate stock reporting and valuation. Preparing journals, accruals and prepayments. Working closely with operational and non-finance stakeholders. Identifying opportunities to improve financial controls and processes. Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making. About You We are looking for a hands-on Management Accountant who can quickly integrate into a manufacturing environment and make an immediate impact. You will ideally have: Proven Management Accounting experience within manufacturing. Strong understanding of manufacturing finance, including stock, costs, variances and production KPIs. Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or a similar ERP system. Strong month-end and management accounts experience. Excellent Excel and analytical skills. Strong reconciliation and variance analysis experience. The ability to work independently and hit the ground running in an interim environment. Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work with finance and operational stakeholders.
