In this role, you will work across both Mechanical and Building Fabric disciplines, ensuring the highest standards in building maintenance are consistently achieved. As part of the Building Services Department, you will be involved in maintaining and servicing a wide range of mechanical systems, responding to reactive works, and proactively managing equipment and installations.What you’ll doMaintain mechanical systems, including Air Handling, Chilled Water, LPHTW, and Air Conditioning systemsOversee Fire Sprinkler, UPS, and emergency generator systemsManage Building Fabric elements, such as Lifts, Dock Levellers, and Auto/Static doorsRespond promptly to requests from Facilities, Security, and IS helpdeskAssist the Property team in repairing defective equipment efficientlyProvide emergency response for essential equipment breakdownsEnsure regular maintenance of machinery and equipment to the highest standardsMonitor Building Management Systems and liaise with sub-contractorsActively identify and rectify defects in a timely mannerSupport plumbing and mechanical installations as requiredComplete time sheets, task sheets, and manage stock controlOrder consumables and manage administrative tasksWhat you’ll needMechanical qualifications or general building maintenance qualificationProven experience in a similar Building Services roleWorking knowledge of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) regimesAbility to fault-find issues with Heating, Hot Water, Plumbing, HVAC systems, and moreUnderstanding of fire sprinkler, UPS, and emergency generator systemsBasic PC skills and Health & Safety awarenessWillingness to undertake general maintenance duties (e.g., lamp changes)DesirableCity & Guilds/BTEC in Mechanical EngineeringBasic electrical skillsWorking knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS)Health & Safety qualification or training in the use of access equipmentAbout usWe are a leading independent technology and services provider, trusted by large corporate and public sector organisations.
