Education Solicitor (Partner), 8+ Years PQE, Cheltenham, £Highly competitive (DOE) – This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer who is passionate about the education sector and keen to play a leading role in the continued development of a well‑established national practice. THE ROLE

• As a Partner, you will lead on a wide variety of strategic and corporate matters for education clients, with a particular focus on independent schools and education groups.
• You will provide commercially focused advice while building long‑term relationships with clients and helping to shape the future direction of the practice.
• Advising on acquisitions, disposals and mergers involving independent schools and education businesses.
• Leading on reorganisations, collaborations and strategic projects designed to strengthen and future‑prove educational institutions.
• Advising charities and education organisations on corporate restructuring and transformation.
• Working closely with colleagues across employment, property, regulatory and dispute resolution teams to deliver a seamless service.
• Developing and strengthening client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser to senior decision‑makers.
• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, while enhancing the firm’s profile within the education sector.
• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, supporting their technical and professional development.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Education Solicitor with a minimum of 8 Years PQE.
• Experience operating at Partner or Legal Director level, or a strong track record demonstrating readiness for Partnership.
• Interest in or experience advising education, charity or not‑for‑profit organisations.
• Proven experience leading complex transactions and managing sophisticated client relationships.
• A strong business development mindset with the confidence to build networks and generate new opportunities.
• Excellent technical and drafting skills, combined with practical, solution‑focused advice.
• The ability to inspire, mentor and develop colleagues while contributing positively to a collaborative team culture.
