About the Role
Are you passionate about driving high-quality, cost-effective services and achieving meaningful outcomes? Join our clients dynamic Contract Management and Quality Assurance Team as a Contract Management Officer and play a vital role in ensuring commissioned services deliver value and meet the needs of Warwickshire citizens.
In this role, you will lead contract management activities for a defined portfolio, working closely with stakeholders to monitor, evaluate, and improve service delivery. You’ll use evidence-based approaches to shape markets and foster robust partnerships, ensuring services align with their high standards and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver effective contract management in line with the Council’s framework.
Monitor and analyse contract performance, ensuring timely reporting and compliance.
Manage supplier relationships, driving improvements and addressing non-compliance.
Support contract mobilisation, delivery, and exit strategies.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to shape and develop markets.
Use a risk management approach to deploy resources effectively across diverse contracts.About You
A relevant contract management qualification (e.g., CIPS, CIPFA, IACCM Level 4 or higher) and 3+ years of contract/category management experience.
Experience working within education or public sector environments would be highly desirable.
A strong understanding of procurement and commissioning processes.
Expertise in contract management, procurement legislation, and market innovation.
Experience negotiating with difficult stakeholders and managing challenging conversations professionally.
A solid understanding of service provision, risk management, and the ability to identify and escalate risks where appropriate.
Excellent communication skills with experience working cross-functionally across multiple teams and communication channels.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with experience resolving contractual and operational issues effectively.
Advanced IT proficiency, including the ability to analyse data and prepare reports.
