About the role
Vice President, FIG Investment Banking (Manager Level) – London
A leading boutique advisory firm is looking to hire a Vice President to join its Financial Institutions Group in London. This key hire offers the opportunity to take on significant responsibility across a range of transaction and advisory mandates within the UK market and beyond.
This role is positioned at a manager level and is ideal for an individual who is comfortable acting as a day‑to‑day project lead, managing execution, and taking meaningful ownership of client relationships in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day execution across a range of project types including sell‑side advisory, valuations, and broader strategic advisory mandates
- Act as the primary project manager, ensuring deliverables are high quality and completed on time
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining trusted relationships
- Support senior bankers in originating and executing transactions across the UK FIG landscape
- Work closely with internal teams across geographies, contributing to a highly collaborative, cross‑border platform
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a high‑performance and team‑oriented culture
Candidate Profile
- 5 to 7+ years of experience within investment banking, transaction advisory, or corporate finance
- Strong execution experience across M&A, sell‑side advisory, and/or valuation assignments
- Prior exposure to Financial Institutions is preferred, particularly within insurance, wealth, or broader FIG sectors
- Strong academic background with a consistent record of achievement
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and operate as a project lead
- Excellent communication skills with confidence in client‑facing situations
- Experience working within the UK market is highly advantageous
