Spanish Teacher - Primary School
A fantastic mainstream primary school in the Purley Way area is looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Spanish Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis, starting ASAP.
The successful Spanish Teacher will work three days per week - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - teaching Spanish across Years 1-6.
This is a great opportunity for a confident Spanish specialist who enjoys making languages exciting and accessible for primary-aged pupils and is looking for the stability of a regular, long-term timetable.
The Spanish Teacher Role
Teach Spanish across Years 1-6.
Work every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Spanish lessons.
Develop pupils' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
Introduce Spanish vocabulary, pronunciation and culture in a fun and accessible way.
Adapt lessons appropriately for different ages and abilities.
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback.
Create an enthusiastic and positive environment for language learning.
Work collaboratively with class teachers and the wider school team.
The Ideal Spanish Teacher
Strong knowledge and confidence in Spanish.
Previous experience teaching Spanish to children.
Primary school experience is highly desirable.
Confident teaching across Years 1-6.
Creative and engaging approach to language teaching.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Able to start ASAP and commit to a long-term position.
