Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an engineering business in Derby to recruit Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer. 

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Location: Derby
Hours: Monday to Friday, Days Only (Flexible Hours Available)

We are seeking a proactive Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy engineering site where you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and work within a specialist maintenance team, supporting production operations and driving continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities of the Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer 

• Safe installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
• Responding to breakdowns and restoring equipment efficiently
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed
• Assisting with safety testing and compliance activities
• Providing technical support and training to production teams

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience working with motors, drives, testing, and investigative maintenance work
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control wiring diagrams
• PLC experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• Hydraulic systems experience is highly desirable
• Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to maintenance
