A number of welcoming primary schools across Gateshead are looking for enthusiastic and committed Primary Teachers to join their teams from September 2026.
These schools are looking for teachers who can inspire children, create a positive classroom environment and deliver consistently high-quality teaching.
You'll become part of a supportive school community where collaboration, pupil wellbeing and achievement are at the heart of the school.
Your Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
Plan learning that is engaging, challenging and accessible.
Adapt teaching to meet different abilities and learning styles.
Establish positive classroom routines and expectations.
Manage behaviour confidently and consistently.
Track and assess pupil progress.
Provide appropriate feedback to pupils.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
Take an active role in school life.
The Ideal Teacher
We're looking for someone who is:
Qualified with QTS.
Experienced in a UK primary setting.
Confident managing a classroom.
Creative and enthusiastic about teaching.
Passionate about helping children succeed.
Reliable, organised and adaptable.
Committed to safeguarding and inclusion.
ECTs are welcome to apply, alongside experienced teachers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
