About the role
Our client in Brent are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Duty Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team. The client offers a full time and part time contract with an opportunity to work from home, a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.
Main Duties for the Duty Occupational Therapist includes;
Screen and prioritise incoming referrals based on urgency and risk.
Determine appropriate pathways, including assessment, provision of advice, or signposting.
Respond to duty queries from professionals, service users, and carers.
Undertake occupational therapy assessments focusing on functional ability and independence.
Identify environmental barriers and risks within the home.
Recommend and arrange provision of community equipment (e.g. grab rails, seating, bathing aids).
Assess for and refer for minor and major adaptations in line with legislation and local policy.
Ensure safe and appropriate use of prescribed equipment.
Respond to urgent cases, including hospital discharges and individuals at risk of admission.To Be Successful;
Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in duty
HCPC Registration
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
Eligibility to work in the UK
