Management Accountant

This Management Accountant position offers the opportunity to step into a busy finance team at a pivotal time, providing hands-on support and stability during a period of change. Offered on an initial 6-month contract, this role provides both immediate impact and potential longer-term opportunity. You’ll be joining a fast-paced environment where your ability to hit the ground running is essential. As a Management Accountant, you’ll take ownership of key financial processes, ensuring month-end is delivered accurately and on time, while supporting the wider team with technical expertise and day-to-day guidance. Important: Social housing experience is essential for this role. Applications without this will not be considered. We’d love to hear from anyone with a background as a Management Accountant, Technical Accountant, or Finance Business Partner within a social housing provider, who is confident stepping into complex roles with minimal handover. As a Management Accountant, you will be: Taking ownership of month-end processes, with a key focus on repairs & maintenance accounting Producing and supporting the delivery of accurate management accounts Providing technical accounting expertise across capital and development accounting Acting as a key point of contact for finance queries across the team Supporting and guiding colleagues where needed to ensure continuity and performance I’d love to speak to any Management Accountant who has: Proven experience working within a social housing finance team (essential) Strong understanding of repairs & maintenance accounting within housing Experience with capital/development accounting in a housing setting Full ownership of month-end processes in a similar environment The ability to work autonomously and deliver in a fast-paced environment Key requirements for this Management Accountant role: Current or recent social housing experience is non-negotiable A track record of stepping into roles and delivering with minimal supervision Clear, demonstrable technical accounting capability (essential) Availability to start immediately or at short noticeThe role is offering the following benefits: 6-month contract (flexible 3–6 months) with potential to go permanent £300–£320 per day One-stage virtual interview process for a quick turnaround Hybrid Working A high-impact role where your expertise will be valued from day oneThis Management Accountant role is offering a day rate of £300–£320.
