The Role

As the School Finance Officer, you will support a wide range of financial processes and ensure the financial operations of the school run smoothly, accurately, and in compliance with regulations.

Your responsibilities include:

Processing expenditure and income transactions across multiple school accounts

Managing purchase orders, invoices, supplier relationships, and credit control

Keeping detailed records of departmental budgets and spending

Supporting report production for senior leaders, governors, and trust finance teams

Handling bank reconciliations, cash management, and trip finances

Supporting financial governance processes, including audits and policy reviews

Assisting with payroll checks and staff financial documentation

Implementing and monitoring financial procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance

Maintaining organised, audit-ready financial records
