Location - London (Hybrid)

Day rate - up to £850pd inside IR3

A global investment bank is looking to grow their Risk function with multiple Senior Back End Java Developers. The successful Senior Back End Java developers will be responsible for delivering scalable, enterprise-grade applications within a complex technology environment.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role where you'll play a key part in designing, developing and evolving modern backend services, influencing technical direction while working alongside talented engineers on business-critical systems.

What you'll be doing

Develop enterprise backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
Design and build scalable microservices
Develop RESTful APIs
Drive backend architecture and technical design
Optimise application performance and scalability
Mentor and support other developers
Lead code reviews and engineering best practice
Work closely with business and technical stakeholders
Contribute to CI/CD and automated deployment
Support production systems and continuous improvement
