Digital Testing Engineer

A leading automotive organisation has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Test Technician – Engine to join its advanced engineering and testing facility in Dunton, UK. This role will involve hands-on responsibility for supporting engine builds, test setups, and diagnostics, working closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality testing outcomes. You’ll contribute to global powertrain programmes, ensuring testing activities are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Translate engineering requirements into practical work requests, including instrumentation, build, and teardown activities Follow technical documentation including build books, drawings, sketches, and repair manuals Carry out vehicle modifications, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance Identify and document lessons learned to support continuous improvement Ensure all activities are completed with accurate documentation and aligned to project milestones and deliverables Minimum 3+ years of automotive experience, ideally within engine or transmission testing support Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with a high level of attention to detail Experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and tracking Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (preferred) Knowledge of engine systems, drivetrain components, and testing environments Full UK driving licence required If you’re looking to work hands-on with cutting-edge automotive technology and contribute to the development of next-generation powertrain systems within a fast-paced engineering environment, apply today.
