Pay: £15.00 per hour
Working hours: 12 hour shifts both days and nights (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am)
Rotating days and nights, rota will be provided for the whole year
Location: Crewe, CW1
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate slitting machines according to job specifications and production schedules.
Monitor slitting equipment during operation to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
Load and unload rolls of material using hoists or lift equipment.
Measure and inspect finished rolls for width, cut accuracy, and material integrity.
Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to maintain machine efficiency.
Record production data, including material usage, output, and waste.
Maintain a clean and organised work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
Communicate any equipment issues or material inconsistencies to the supervisor.
Assist with machine maintenance and cleaning during scheduled downtime.
Qualifications:
Ideally 1-2 years of experience operating slitting machines, preferably in flexible packaging or converting industries.
Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, artwork, and production specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. xwzovoh
