Senior European Payroll Specialist

UNIQLO is a leading brand of the Fast Retailing Group, one of the largest apparel retailers in the world. UNIQLO respects the individuality and lifestyle of all customers and takes pride in creating high quality, long-lasting, innovative clothing at an affordable price. We are currently recruiting for a Senior European Payroll Specialist to join our European HR Payroll team, based in our London Office. This new role will report to the European Payroll Manager and will work collaboratively with local HR and Payroll teams as well as the wider European HR Department. This role is focused on maintaining accuracy, quality, and compliance across Payroll, Mobility and Immigration and as such we’re looking for people with strong experience in a previous operational HR/Payroll role in more than one European Country. You will work collaboratively with local HR, payroll specialists, and Finance and as you’ll support mobility and immigration functions for expats in EU markets, we’re looking for a strong communicator to become a valuable business partner to many internal stakeholders What you will be responsible for:Support EU markets to lead end-to-end payroll process, which is a key part of the payroll chain.  Closely cooperate with EU markets Payroll Partners and HR Managers. Execute controls of payroll files throughout the payroll cycle.  Manage the payroll for expats, coordinating with tax advisor and EU markets for mobility partners. Validate and approve payroll data as part of the payroll chain. Manage salary payment, taxes, social security, and other payroll related payments for EU markets. Manage month-end and quarterly payroll reports for Finance. Identify, investigate, and resolve payroll issues. Lead payroll, mobility and immigration governance, internal/external audits, and continuous improvement. Provide strategic input into EU level policies, systems, and tools. Manage immigration process for expats coming/leaving EU markets Skills, Experience and Attributes:  Payroll management experience in retail or high-volume environments (1000 plus employees) with 3-5 years of experience. Expertise across more than one European Country Strong knowledge of payroll, taxation principles, and expat rules. Experience working with expats, global mobility, and tax advisors. Fluent in English communication skills. Excellent stakeholder management and customer service mindset. High level of discretion, confidentiality, and accuracy. Proactive and self-driven with a “can do” attitude. Strong organisational and planning skills, with ability to meet deadlines. Strong numerical skills, Excel proficiency, and HRIS/payroll system knowledge (Workday, Work Force System.). Ability to work with diverse and global team, having high level of cultural flexibility. Strong work ethics and integrity What we offer 26 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, pro rata  30% staff Discount  Employee Assistance Programme Private Pension Scheme Performance-based bonus scheme Complimentary tea and coffee Hybrid working model: 2 days remote, 3 days office-based Social events throughout the year Seasonal sample sales Volunteer Day – twice a year Prime location near Piccadilly and Oxford Street stations with easy access to shops, restaurants... Commitment to Inclusion and Data Protection UNIQLO is an inclusive employer, and welcomes applications from all backgrounds regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other characteristics. We are dedicated to safeguarding your privacy and personal information; please refer to our privacy policy for details on our recruitment process. Recruitment Security Notice All official UNIQLO job postings will redirect you to our official careers page on Workday for application submission.
