Job Title: Site Manager – New Build (Steel Frame & Fit-Out) Location: Maidstone, Kent Salary: £250-£300pd Sector: Commercial / D&B / Self-Storage The Role Fetch Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading main contractor to source an experienced Site Manager for a flagship Design & Build project in Maidstone, Kent. This is the 2nd project for a client and represents the start of a major long-term partnership with a significant future pipeline across the South East. As the Site Manager, you will be the "No.1" on-site, leading a complex four-storey structural steel build from the ground up, followed by a high-spec internal fit-out. The Project * Structure: 4-storey structural steel frame, external cladding, lifts, and firefighting stair cores. * Internal: Full fit-out including mezzanine structures, modern storage units, internal finishes, and MEP installations. * Location: Maidstone, Kent—focused on high-quality delivery and tight logistical management. Key Responsibilities * Site Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact on-site, managing all sub-contractors, health and safety, and daily programs. * Progress & Quality: Ensure the structural steel, cladding, and internal fit-out phases are delivered on time, within budget, and to an impeccable standard. * Logistics & RAMS: Manage a busy, tight commercial footprint, coordinating material deliveries and crane lifts efficiently. * Client Liaison: As this is a "first build" for a key client, you will play a crucial role in maintaining excellent relations and representing the contractor professionally. Requirements * Experience: Proven track record as a No.1 Site Manager delivering Steel Frame, D&B, industrial, or large-scale commercial units. * Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of structural steel erection, cladding systems, mezzanine installations, and MEP integration. * Qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid at Work are essential. * Traits: A driving force on-site with excellent sub-contractor management skills and a sharp eye for health and safety compliance.
