Live‑In Carer – Dorridge, West Midlands Salary: £145 per day Food Allowance: £40 per week Rotation: 2 week on / 2 weeks off Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Self‑employed Location: Dorridge, Solihull, West Midlands About the Role We are seeking a kind, reliable, and experienced live‑in carer to support an elderly male client who has had a hip replacement and is not weight baring and needs assistance with moving and personal care. He lives with his wife, and part of the role would be cooking and cleaning, doctors appoinemtns and local cofffee shop visits. You would have the whole floor access within their house for your living accommodation. This is a long‑term position for someone who is compassionate, patient, and confident in providing high‑quality, person‑centred care while promoting independence and dignity. Key Responsibilities * Providing daily personal care in a respectful and supportive manner * Assisted transfer with a care assistant on the am and pm call * Support with mobility and transfers * Supporting daily living activities while encouraging independence * Monitoring wellbeing and responding calmly and confidently to needs * Companionship – taking to doctor visits and local coffee shop * Cleaning and Cooking meals * Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment * Medication support Essential Skills & Experience * Proven experience as a live in carer * Care certificates and relevant training * Manual handling with Up‑to‑date Moving & Handling certificate * Excellent understanding of person‑centred care * Ability to work independently and responsibly Personal Qualities * Kind, patient, and empathetic * Friendly, confident, and reliable * Respectful of dignity, privacy, and independence * Strong communication skills Requirements * Enhanced DBS and registered on the Update Service * Right to work in the UK- No sponsorship * Up‑to‑date training certificates * Self‑employed status, including: Your own liability insurance What We Offer * Competitive daily rate (£145 per day) * £40 weekly food allowance * Clear rotation: 2 week on / 2 weeks off * Supportive and respectful working arrangement * A rewarding role making a genuine difference
