Commissioning Engineer

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Commissioning Engineer on a 6 Month Contract, based in Northwest. We're currently recruiting for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support 132kV substation projects for SP Energy Networks (SPEN) across the North West. You'll be responsible for the commissioning of Protection & Control (P&C) schemes on 132kV substations, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with SPEN standards. Key responsibilities include: * Commissioning Protection & Control schemes on 132kV AIS & GIS substations * Functional testing, primary and secondary injection testing, and end-to-end testing * Working in accordance with SPEN safety rules, procedures, and standards * Liaising with client engineers, project teams, and site personnel to deliver works on programme * Supporting the successful delivery of critical network infrastructure projects Requirements * Current SPEN substation authorisations (essential) * Demonstrable commissioning experience on 132kV substations (or above) * Previous experience working on SPEN or other DNO/Transmission Network projects * Strong knowledge of Protection & Control commissioning and testing * A proactive approach with a strong commitment to safety and quality If you're an experienced P&C Commissioning Engineer with SPEN authorisations and are looking for your next long-term contract, I'd be keen to hear from you.
