Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer

This role is based in their Belfast office. Your new role As a Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering technically complex projects across a diverse portfolio. You'll take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring high-quality, client-focused outcomes. Your responsibilities will include: Leading geo-environmental projects, providing technical direction and oversightProducing and reviewing Phase 1 and Phase 2 assessments, risk assessments, and interpretative reportsPlanning and supervising ground investigations, including groundwater and gas monitoringManaging project delivery, budgets, and client relationshipsMentoring junior team members and contributing to team developmentSupporting business development activities and helping to grow the project pipeline What you'll need to succeed Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or similar (postgraduate desirable)Strong experience in contaminated land assessment within UK regulatory frameworksProven ability to deliver high-quality technical reports and data interpretationExperience managing site investigations and multidisciplinary projectsWorking towards Chartership (e.g. CIWEM, IEMA, Geological Society)Strong communication, stakeholder management, and commercial awarenessRelevant site certifications (e.g. CSCS, SMSTS) are advantageous.
