Contract Production Manager Job Title: Contract Production Manager 6 month, rolling contract. Immediate start available Days – Monday – Thursday, Early finish Friday Market-leading development and manufacturing organisation producing complex products are looking for a Production Manager to take ownership of one of their key manufacturing areas.   As a Production Manager you will manage the operations team and implement continuous improvement.        With overall responsibility for your own area, as Production Manager you will coordinate and facilitate the daily operations to provide adequate resources and on-going work direction and problem solving to ensure business goals are met.  You will also act as a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operations in the cell through the deployment of lean principles and identification of continuous improvement opportunities. Key accountabilities as Production Manager will include: - Taking full operational of your area of the shop floor - Ensure operational quality and costs are met       - Implement a lean manufacturing and continuous improvement culture       - Deliver product as per agreed production plan     - Work with customers to ensure goals are met       - Lead daily cell meetings to highlight goals and resolve issues       - Implement lean manufacturing techniques       - Manage and lead a team of skilled technicians   To succeed in this varied role you will have proven production or manufacturing management experience within a low/medium volume electro-mechanical / mechanical assembly manufacturing or related environment.  A working knowledge of implementing and driving through change in a lean environment (5s, visual management etc) is sought and first-class leadership and people skills essential.   If you feel that the position could be of interest, please either apply via the link or contact Alison Kemp  Likely to suit individuals with a background as (but not limited to):  Production Manager, Operations Leader, Production Area Manager, Cell Manager, Manufacturing Manager or similar
