Job Title: Controls EngineerClient: Global engineering/manufacturing companyLocation: PeterleeHourly Rate: £29.27 PAYE or £38.48 UmbrellaDuration: 12 monthsWorking arrangements: Fully site based About the Role:MY client is looking for an experienced Controls Systems Engineer to join the Performance & Control Team at their Peterlee facility.This position is responsible for supporting manufacturing controls systems, ensuring robust performance of production equipment through software support, diagnostics, machine tuning, and validation activities within a fast-paced factory environment.Responsibilities:

• Deliver controls and software support for manufacturing operations
• Diagnose and resolve equipment control system issues to minimise downtime
• Support commissioning, testing, and tuning of production machinery
• Develop a clear understanding of production procedures, analyse them, and drive continuous improvement
• Execute software updates, fault finding, and system optimisation
• Support validation and performance verification activities
