A well-established and growing law firm in Manchester is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its litigation team.

The firm handles a varied caseload of consumer and commercial disputes and is looking for a motivated individual who is comfortable managing a busy workload, working closely with senior fee earners and progressing matters from initial assessment through to resolution.

The Role

You will assist with a range of litigation matters and be responsible for tasks including:

• Reviewing new claims and carrying out initial legal research;
• Drafting correspondence, witness statements, applications and other legal documents;
• Communicating with clients, solicitors, Counsel and third parties;
• Managing case files, deadlines, hearings and key documentation;
• Assisting with settlement discussions and dispute resolution;
• Preparing matters for hearings and trial;
• Maintaining accurate records and updating the firm's case management system;
• Supporting solicitors and senior team members with the progression of claims.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A law degree or equivalent legal qualification;
• Previous experience working as a paralegal or within a legal claims environment;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail;
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines;
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team;
• Good Microsoft Office and general IT skills;
• A professional, client-focused approach.

Experience managing your own files or working within litigation, financial disputes or consumer claims would be advantageous, but is not essential. xwzovoh

• Salary up to £26,000 per annum, depending on experience;
