CNC Machinist Location: Andover Shift Pattern: Day shift (Monday-Friday, standard daytime hours) Job Type: Permanent Sector: Precision Engineering / Manufacturing Salary: Depending on experience Our client, based in Andover, is currently seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join their growing engineering and manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established and busy precision engineering environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components to engineering specifications, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and consistency throughout the manufacturing process. We are open to candidates from a wide range of CNC backgrounds, including operators, setters, programmers, and trainee machinists with relevant engineering exposure. Key Responsibilities ⦁ Setting and operating CNC machinery ⦁ Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances ⦁ Working from technical and engineering drawings ⦁ Carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment ⦁ Performing tool changes, offsets, and basic machine adjustments ⦁ Ensuring all work meets required quality standards ⦁ Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment ⦁ Meeting production targets and deadlines ⦁ Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department Skills & Experience Candidates with experience in any of the following CNC machining areas are encouraged to apply: ⦁ CNC Turning ⦁ CNC Milling ⦁ CNC Setting ⦁ CNC Operating ⦁ CNC Programming ⦁ Setter/Operator and Setter/Operator/Programmer roles ⦁ 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis machining ⦁ Experience with Doosan machines ⦁ Fanuc controls ⦁ Heidenhain controls ⦁ Reading and interpreting engineering drawings ⦁ Use of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, callipers, etc.) ⦁ Precision engineering or general manufacturing backgrounds Both experienced CNC Machinists and trainee/junior candidates with a strong interest in engineering will be considered.
